I have been studying Dream Interpretation for over 10 years and initially became interested in this because of the dreams I was personally having. I began to notice that some of my dreams were different from the general mish mash and they were the ones that remained very clear in my mind.
I have studied using the Ancient Hebraic System rather than the other types such as Jung, Freud or Gestalt.
I started the blog after a stint on Newstalk ZB Radio doing Dream Interpretation for what we thought may last maybe around 30 minutes. This turned into 2 hours 20 minutes with still more people waiting to get their dreams interpreted. So I assume that people are curious to know what their dreams mean.
Some dreams have really strong symbolic representations or metaphors and when you apply this type of metaphoric thinking to symbols that are not clearly defined this can help us to unlock the hidden messages in our dreams.
Sometimes the only way to get a message across, can be through a dream that bypasses our minds through to our spirit, to release fresh insight.
For me, dream interpretation is a whole new language that feeds my spirit, helps to identify hindrances in my life, and pushes me into pursuing the destiny that God has for me.

How many Dreams that people experience come from The Highest of Heavens or from The Kingdom of The Kings of Kings and The Lord of Lords and how many just from the depths of the Soul? and how can you differrentiate one from the other? as of late, A woman named staci that I am friends with on facebook carries the ability of seeing apparitions on occasions. she is in some turmoil surrounding her visions. As I`m still experiencing some Rhem Intrusions. being able to dream but moving the dream into a realistic based scenario that is able to penetrate the reality of being awake while dreaming. But not daydreaming. its like waking up in the morning, pouring your coffee and realizing that your ability to control your dream enviroment has a greater potential to shift your subconscience into your conscience state while respecting the Timeline and space continuim that exists. There are days when Yeshua in My dreams is more real from a dreamstate that breaks the barriers of being awake, than He is in reality trying to imagine Him in a Sovereign realm that carries no control other than His control that reigns supreme.

Hi Joseph,
That is one huge question and really comes back to the individual believer – What we think of as “soulish” can sometimes just be our emotions expressing our needs and desires – which can be a good thing as it can reveal to us things that we may not see when we are awake! We need to always remember that as Christians we are all in various places of being renewed in Christ, and there may be some areas that need a little work on!
If a dream brings confusion or tends to feel dark/depressing/melancholic etc or feels not quite right – this is most likely from the enemy.
Dreams can happen when you are awake – usually these are visions and I also believe that we can actually manipulate our dreams – both negatively and positively – it all comes back to our relationship with God.
Our dreams can change our lives and others as we see from countless events in the Bible. Our dreams can change nations and it is up to us to seek out God for the meanings. You cannot separate yourself or your dreams from God if you are a Christian. He is in you and upon you and is constantly leading and guiding. The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth when you hand control over to Him – so that is the exciting part – a little like when you go to work – it is not your secular job, it is what you do, but God always comes with you, He is so entwined in all that you do and all that you are.
I also believe many times that dreams are more than that…..they are actual experiences – particularly when we encounter God and His angels. There are many people that have said after a particularly vivid dream – “It felt so real, as if I was actually there!” We have so little understanding of the Supernatural Realm – yet we say that we follow Christ, who is purely supernatural – and Christ lives within us (we are entwined in Him) so what does that make us? When we reread the “stories” and see them for what they are – “supernatural events” we begin to see that “All things are possible” We are made in His image and He is supernatural!
So exciting when we actually start to study who our God is and look deeper into His Word!

Dear Erin,
I just wanted to tell you how much your website encouraged me yesterday. The word of the Lord entitled “Ears to Hear” was such a loving rebuke from Lord. He used you to ‘wake me up’esp once it has been revealed what a dream means to apply to my life. God bless you
